Planned Giving & Bartlett Tower Society

Hank Amon and Bill Webster – Gift Planning Co-Chairs and Bartlett Tower Society

Did you know that gifts from estate plans represent up to one-third of all gifts Dartmouth receives in a given year? In the past fiscal year alone, estate gifts totaled $205,644,839, helping to provide increased financial relief for approximately 350 families across all four undergraduate classes. Thanks to this support, students from families earning less than $125,000 are asked to contribute no more than $5,000 per year from summer jobs and on-campus employment.

There are already more than 4,500 members of the Bartlett Tower Society (BTS)—including 67 of our classmates—who have chosen to provide for Dartmouth in their estate plans.

For those who may not be familiar, the Bartlett Tower Society honors alumni and friends who have made a planned gift to Dartmouth. Membership can be established in a variety of ways, such as:

  • Leaving Dartmouth a percentage of, or specified amount from, your estate (through a will or trust)
  • Naming Dartmouth as a beneficiary of a retirement plan (401(k), IRA, etc.)
  • Establishing a charitable gift annuity
  • Creating a charitable remainder unitrustgmail.com
  • Establishing a Dartmouth donor-advised fund

Whether or not you have considered this type of philanthropy before, we encourage you to reach out to Daniela Darias in the Office of Gift Planning at daniela.darias@dartmouth.edu or 603-646-3799. Daniela and the Gift Planning team are available to answer questions, record your membership, or guide you through the many ways you might plan now for a future gift to Dartmouth.

We would also be delighted to speak with you directly:

  2. Bill Webster: o.webster65@gmail.com| 860-388-2425

More information can be found online at the Dartmouth Gift Planning website.

As of August 1, 2025, our class has 67 BTS members. We hope you will consider joining them and becoming our newest member. Remember—Dartmouth values estate gifts of every size.

With gratitude,

Hank & Bill
